Gina’s story is proof that resilience is built, not born.
After losing hearing in her left ear at 21, she fought to regain it years later. She’s faced fears head-on — from open-water shark dives to snake handling — and completed civilian SERE training. A former stand-up comedian, actress, and children’s author, Gina founded EmpowerLit, a nonprofit helping students believe in themselves through reading and storytelling.
